eSports: The path to Collegiate and Pro

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The world of eSports has finally captured the eyes of the general public over the last few years. Televised tournaments like the League of Legends Championship Series, the Dota 2 Internationals, and recent U.S. events like DreamHack Austin and CS:GO ELeague have filled our screens. Video gaming is no longer just for fun but it can also become a career. You can even earn an athletic varsity scholarship to play LoL, Dota 2, CS:GO and other games at certain universities and colleges.
The question is, what does it take to reach that level? This panel will host coaches and players from the Robert Morris University eSports varsity team and other local competitive players. Together we will gain an inside look into the world of collegiate and competitive gamers. Learn about what paths were taken, what obstacles fell in their way and what it feels like to compete on a world stage.
